Didge Project is seeking a video production intern to assist in creating shareable online content. Intern will learn filming and editing skills and expand his or her portfolio.
Didge Project is a world music education blog, youtube channel, music project and a producer of events, workshops and online courses. Our mission is to bridge music from many cultures into a tangible medium that our audience can utilize for its own benefit. This is done largely through educational performances, workshops and videos. Originally started to support the growing didgeridoo community in New York City, Didge Project serves musicians of all levels in making musical instruments and education available. While advanced musicians may benefit from Didge Project’s content, it is the beginner to intermediate musician that we aim to serve. Didge Project has received 250,000 hits on its website this year and has seen tremendous growth in Youtube and Facebook subscribers.
This internship is an opportunity to develop your skills in producing video and learning what it takes to make and promote shareable content. Intern will work 20 hours per week and primarily be of assistance in creating video content.
Intern will be assisting at video shoots, editing video, and uploading to and managing YouTube and Facebook video channels. Intern will work 20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months.
Our primary studio location is in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Other field shooting will be around NYC and most editing work will be done remotely.
Experience with Final Cut Pro X and Photoshop are a must. Camera and video lighting experience recommended but not required. Applicant must live in New York City and have access to an Apple computer.
This is an unpaid internship. There is the possibility of part time paid work after a period of 6-months of work as an intern.
